How I Work

My Approach

Ship small, learn from real use, double down on what works. Vision guides, usage sharpens. Keep workflows simple, automate toil, and favor fast feedback. Shorten the path from first interaction to outcome. Attention is scarce. Ship value fast.

Coding & Development

AI Assistants

  • Codex (OpenAI): My primary CLI-based coding assistant. I switch between Codex and Claude Code often - certain things Codex handles much better
  • Claude Code: Anthropic's terminal AI assistant. My go-to when Codex can't handle something
  • Cursor: Main code editor with AI integration
  • Repo Prompt: For getting context in large codebases

Stack & Infrastructure

  • Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, React
  • Frameworks: Next.js for apps, Astro for marketing pages
  • Infrastructure: Cloudflare Workers, Wrangler, D1 database, Vercel
  • ML Services: Groq for hosted inference - cheaper and faster than alternatives
  • Databases: SQLite, MySQL
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS, ShadCN components
  • Terminal: Warp (has AI for complex commands), Ghostty (minimal)

Product & Design

  • Research: Grok, ChatGPT, and Gemini - I ask all three to compare different approaches before making decisions
  • Design: Figma when collaborating with others
  • Prototyping: Usually code directly rather than using design tools - faster iteration
  • Analytics: Umami, PostHog, Google Analytics for understanding user behavior
  • Notes: Boxento App (my own note-taking tool)
  • Voice-to-text: Super Whisper when talking is faster than typing

Hardware

  • Primary: Macbook 14" M3 Pro for daily work
  • External Monitor: TCL 27R83U - high DPI like the Macbook with good refresh rate for gaming
